Here’s some helpful ideas (no guarantees, just positive advice)
1/ Know what you want. Use resources like this web site to find out everything there is to know about your dream job. 2/ Be a positive version of yourself at interviews. Don’t try to fake it. 3/ One of the keys to job success is “preparation, preparation, preparation”. Practise and rehearse interviews. Look at the selection criteria and practise answering likely questions. 4/ Get feedback from trusted people, be prepared to accept positive criticism, ask questions of people in the types of positions you are seeking, don’t burn bridges. 5/ Volunteer your services to the types of employers who offer the work you are interested in. 6/ Read job descriptions to find out what employers are looking for. 7/ Study an appropriate training course.
...and treat yourself to the things you like occasionally to keep your energy and enthusiasm levels high. |
